I don't object to perfection!
You think the water slide is just for the big kids? Think again!
Here we come!
Iiiih! Ha!

But I'm not spoiled! It's not like I require a water slide to be happy. I mean, I like normal pool fun as well!
Dressed for pool success
This is how dad and I thought we should dress to conquer the kiddie pool. It was almost right. Now I'd say, lose the glasses (provided that the pool has a sun cover) and add on longer sleeves and an inflatable swim ring.
Orang-utan adventure
As a consequence of the deforestation of Borneo, the orang-utans are at high risk. Together with a whole bunch of other tourists, we went to visit a rescue center, located in the nature reserve on the hotel premises.
I hear it's getting darker and darker in Sweden
In Kota Kinabalu, it did too. Every night, at 6.30 sharp.
What does a good hotel room look like?
On CNN, they claim that a good hotel room should feature fast Internet connection and access to, well, CNN. My preferences differ from that and I'm more focused on the interior design.
Fashion animal
This fall features cross-dressing and innovative use of traditional garments. For example, you can use normal ladies underwear (preferably large sizes) to create a becoming necklace.
The latest in diapers is to accentuate with colored accessories. The green little plastic teddy perfectly matches the Swedish design. For the Japanese diapers, I prefer to use multi colored toys, such as the weird little Thai Air infant passenger give-away.
I do eat. Sometimes. A little.
And sometimes it even happens voluntarily.
Like at the pool, I would come for a snack, just like that.
And at the fancy restaurant, I did have a few bites before I realized that it was a boring BORING place to be (and mom and dad realized they are no longer the target audience of places like that)
At the pool side restaurant, however, no one but possibly mom and dad were annoyed about me being annoyed. And to be fair, most of the time I wasn't annoyed at all. The food was actually quite good.
As was the water.
And, according to dad, the very layered latte.I LOVE New York
Food has never really been my thing. But in Kota, the apples were absolutely scrumptious!
They even thought my sunset eating was ok.Mom and dad were torn: on the one hand, they realized the the unhealthy (form a dental point of view) aspects of permanently stuffing the face with fruits, and furthermore they were a bit worried about the risk of choking.
On the other hand, they aren't all that pampered with me eating...
... and thus, they were more prone to let things slide a little.

Accompany me for a walk of the house
From the kitchen to the living room.
Via the toys.
From there to the atrium.
To the front door. End of tour.
How small was I one year ago?
Probably as small as little Lukas, who was born on the 18th of September this year. On Sunday, he had an arrival party and he got a veeeery spacy feeding chair. I know it was his, but I had to try it.
He still looked a bit tiny for it anyway.
Back with the gals
It's good to be back. I had a great playdate with Rosie, Anna and Margrethe on Saturday. They know how to walk too! And how to play the mega version of peekaboo.
The trip
We took off from Copenhagen, where Petra met us at the airport for some last minute hugs and kisses.
Bye-bye
Since we're not going to see each other for a couple of months, I was happy that Grandma came by to say goodbye.
I think she was too!
What we left behind
Now the kitchen's done (mom and dad are all happy but I miss my own kitchen cabinet)
with its built in spaces for dishcloths, trays and wine bottles (mom and dad are all happy, I think those spaces are too narrow to enter and I'm a bit annoyed about the child safeing that they've arranged.)
and modern kitchen appliances (mom and dad are all happy and love Ikea, I miss the possibility to look into, and, on very lucky days when the wire wasn't connected, climb into the oven).
The kitchen pipes are changed (mom and dad are all relieved, but also realizing that there's some work remaining in the house - I don't really care too much about this aspect).
Just to remind you of what the kitchen looked like before.
Definitely more colorful...
The scurbby space on the ground floor, which used to resemble a bath room, but that was nothing that could be confirmed, is turned into a functional cr (mom and dad are all happy not to have a major leak in the house and maybe a little less happy about the traditional cr wall line - I kinda like having a space on the ground floor for my potty, which is still unused).
The floors are wooden and polished (mom and dad are all happy and here I agree with them) and the house is all green and nice with no signs of pink spots (we're all happy).
Even mom's project, to make a cool sink, using a milling cutter, bought for the purpose,
and the patience of Cilla
and Grandma
(actually all of us)
is done (mom's all happy, but also hating Ikea for their stainless steel sinks not being stainless steel).
Now, now that all that is accomplished, then we pack up our bags and leave. Isn't that a bit weird?
