Jag skriver till min farmor, mormor och morfar i Sverige och till farfar i himlen. Och till mina föräldrars syskon. Och till andra som vill se och läsa.

What we left behind

Now the kitchen's done (mom and dad are all happy but I miss my own kitchen cabinet)with its built in spaces for dishcloths, trays and wine bottles (mom and dad are all happy, I think those spaces are too narrow to enter and I'm a bit annoyed about the child safeing that they've arranged.)and modern kitchen appliances (mom and dad are all happy and love Ikea, I miss the possibility to look into, and, on very lucky days when the wire wasn't connected, climb into the oven). The kitchen pipes are changed (mom and dad are all relieved, but also realizing that there's some work remaining in the house - I don't really care too much about this aspect).
Just to remind you of what the kitchen looked like before.Definitely more colorful...
The scurbby space on the ground floor, which used to resemble a bath room, but that was nothing that could be confirmed, is turned into a functional cr (mom and dad are all happy not to have a major leak in the house and maybe a little less happy about the traditional cr wall line - I kinda like having a space on the ground floor for my potty, which is still unused). The floors are wooden and polished (mom and dad are all happy and here I agree with them) and the house is all green and nice with no signs of pink spots (we're all happy).Even mom's project, to make a cool sink, using a milling cutter, bought for the purpose, and the patience of Cilla and Grandma(actually all of us)is done (mom's all happy, but also hating Ikea for their stainless steel sinks not being stainless steel).
Now, now that all that is accomplished, then we pack up our bags and leave. Isn't that a bit weird?
