Orang-utan adventure

As a consequence of the deforestation of Borneo, the orang-utans are at high risk. Together with a whole bunch of other tourists, we went to visit a rescue center, located in the nature reserve on the hotel premises. And yes, we did see orang-utans.Mom and dad said "hmm, hmm" and "interesting" and "alarming" . But frankly, I found the rainforest a bit too hot and humid and I didn't see all that much, as I had to peak out from behind dad's head. Besides, I always fall alseep when they put me in the DeuterKid. In other words, I didn't really participate in the orang-utan part of the experience. Luckily, I woke up on the way back to the base, so I could get some hands on feel from the rainforest (and a few souvenir insect bites). And more importantly, so that I could see the chickens at the base before we left. THAT made it all worth while for me.
